Is proselytizing less condescending when evolutionists do it?

Thank you! Yes, of course we're on the same side! That's why I feel free to express myself. Regarding Cofty's evolution posts, my brain goes blank reading them. I can not understand them. -

I was never fully convinced "the truth" was the truth when I was in although I didn't share my misgivings until the end. Now that I'm out I still don't know for a fact that it isn't true. I know myself well enough to know I can never believe anything enough to declare it a fact to myself. When I was in my continual prayer was for more faith. I will never "know". -

Yes, it was triggered by Cofty's series of topics but not just his. I couldn't articulate the uneasy feelings I had every time I saw "Evolution is a Fact #" until I saw the thread "How do you feel about the expression "The Truth"?" I realize it's the same feeling.
I'm still trying to find the words... Closed minded arrogance? I'm right you're wrong? You're stupid if you don't believe like I do? These descriptions aren't exactly representing my feelings but they are something along these lines.
I'm not speaking of Cofty as a person. I enjoy his posts very much. It's just a certain mindset that blindsides me from time to time.

what isn't?
Do you mean it's not proselytizing when it's "The Truth"?

Witnesses killed my friend today.
by WasOnceBlind intoday has been a horrible day.
what began as a day of joy finding out that one of my lifelong friends had her baby, turned into a nightmare when her brother called me to let me know she had passed away after birth.
i was in shock and didn't ask how.

I have not the slightest doubt the leadership no longer have faith in their own blood policy. They are murderers.
I agree with this. I imagine they're working on a plan to drop the policy without backlash or new round of lawsuits.

Most Poorly Written JW Book
by JW_Rogue inso i was thinking the other day that the wt corp has produced thousands of books over the years.
although the writers have changed the style is almost always the same.
however, some books are just worse than others.

The Revelation Book. In addition to everything already mentioned, the artwork was very bad. -

If YOU had to make the decision, would you respect a JW relatives wish to refuse a blood transfusion?
by nicolaou ina few years after i quit the meetings my mum needed her medical directive signed and witnessed and she asked if i'd do it.
i was surprised to say the least!.
i think she was just angling to include me and maybe find some lever to get me involved again.

I'm sorry nicolaou, I just disagree. By choosing to avoid situations (by not having children) where I'd have to force my will on others doesn't make me a coward. That's like telling a teenaged girl who decided NOT to get pregnant that she's a coward because she avoided the tough decision of whether to abort or deliver.
I've given my opinion and you're free to disagree. Have a good night.

No, I'd leave her in the care of her parents or guardians. -

It's the same thing. You're asking who has the final say over the choices we make regarding our own body. You or me? I don't want anyone taking those rights away from me regarding any issue. Whether it's blood, abortion, being 'sectioned' or anything else. Without the freedom to choose what happens to my own body I would rather be dead.
